ICA Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics to Present Building Bridges Symposium June 22-24 in Sydney, Australia,

The ICA Pediatrics Council will be presenting a Building Bridges Symposium on Chiropractic, Pedatrics & Research, June 22-24 in Sydney, Australia. The symposium, co-sponsored by the Chiropractors' Association of Australia (National) and the New Zealand College of Chiropractic includes a wide range of clinical topics, technique workshops and presentations of both platform and poster research papers.  The program has been assessed for 17.25 CPD FLA hours for Australian DCs.

Speakers from the USA, Australia, New Zealand and the UK will lecture on a variety of topics from identification of causes and protocols of care for back pain in children, to understanding pain syndromes in infants, to how chiropractic care and related therapies can help the challenged child or the post partum patient with certain clinical conditions. Update on chiropractic pediatrics research, paper presentations and case studies will add another significant dimension of knowledge and information that can be vital to the practicing chiropractor.

Speakers from the US include Dr. Lora Tanis, Dr. Peter Fysh, Dr. Doug DeMassa, Dr. Sharon Vallone and Dr. Tracey Littrell. From Australia, Dr, Jennifer Barham.Floreani, Dr. Martin Harvey, Dr. Navine Haworth, Dr. Dennis Richards, Dr. Annica Larsdotter and Dr. Simon Floreani. From New Zealand, Dr. Hamish MacMillan and Dr Alice Cade. From the UK, Dr. Joyce Miller.

Attendees will also celebrate the graduation of 22 doctors of chiropractic who passed the 2012 Pediatircs Diplomate Board Examination.  They will received their diplomas at a cermony during the banquet Saturday evening with guest speaker Dr. Eric Russell, President of the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.  This is the second group to complete the ICA Pediatric Council's Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics (DICCP) program, a 3-year postgraduate course administered by the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in Australia/New Zealand.

"The ICA Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics invites all doctors who care for children or want to care for children to join us in Sydney," said Council Chair Dr. Lora Tanis.  "Our goal is to build bridges with our colleagues around the world through advanced clinical education and sharing of research so that we can better serve those infants, children and mothers who come to us for their health care."
