A new class for the Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics (DICCP) will be starting in April on the campus of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Currently classes are ongoing in Chicago and Montreal. The program down under is hosted by the New Zealand College of Chiropractic (NZCC). NZCC will be starting a new class in February 2012.
DICCPs are Board Certified in chiropractic pediatrics and the DICCP is the only pediatrics specialty credential recognized by both the ICA Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics and the ACA Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics. The DICCP is the first postgraduate board certified program in pediatrics and is distinct from other pediatric programs in that It is a 3-year, 30-module program with a structured syllabus for all its modules. The modules are not stand alone seminars, hence DCs cannot start at any time but must start with Module 1, Year I . There is also a Board qualifying exam at the end of Year 3 which candiates must pass before thay can sit for the Board Certification Examination. Exams include both written and practical tests.
Chiropractic students are not eligible to enroll in the program till they graduate.
